Nicky: I’m Italian-American and my husband is Swedish!
I visited a psychic who told me “in a year’s time, you’ll meet a man “off the cusp”. You’ll turn to your right, and there he’ll be. He will be 6’2”, shaved head, work in sales, and loves traveling.”
I immediately thought the psychic was just assuming what I was into😂 Anyway, I wrote everything down and totally forgot about it.
A year later, pharmaceutical colleague of mine let me know he was going to visit his daughter in Spain, and if I needed a getaway, we could meet up there. And so, I decided to take a solo trip to Barcelona, Spain. Funny enough, I went to this restaurant/club on the beach named Shôko, and walked onto the terrace. I sat down at a table, turned to my right, and BOOM there is the sexiest guy I’ve ever seen. I asked him “is this seat taken?”, even though I had been sat by the hostess (just to get the conversation going😉) He offered me a glass of champagne and the rest is history!
He took me to my favorite Michelin restaurant the night before a trip to Marrakech we were taking. As dessert, there was a chocolate-looking heart shaped box, and he asked me to crack it open. There was my dream ring- Marquise diamond with cathedral setting, duo toned Gold and Platinum with diamonds all over, even the basket. He totally nailed it!
We learned a complicated dance from Spain’s version of “Dancing with the Stars”! We practiced for 3 months, it even included aerial tricks. I was afraid I might fall and break my neck when we finally did the flip at the end, but we nailed it and the crowd went WILD! It was so badass!
The place! It was held at a medieval castle in the north of Spain called “Castell de Peralada”. It was absolutely magical to see our friends and family from all over the world in one place at this enchanted venue. It was as if time stood still for the day.
My JK dress MADE the wedding. It is the number one thing I think people will remember. When I put it on, I felt like absolute royalty. It’s a dream as a little girl to be a bride and to wear something so extravagant you never get to wear. My family has already seen it during the fitting, but the hair and makeup team and photography team’s jaws were on the floor!!!
